This is part of our ongoing series following a Kitchen Warehouse customer’s kitchen and bath remodel project. See the others here.
When you start planning your kitchen remodel, don’t forget to consider rooms and other things next to the kitchen that may affect your remodel – like adjacent living rooms, closets, windows, doors or other items you are going to want to adjust to match your new kitchen.
In my case, the flooring throughout the bottom floor, the windows and doors in the living room and dining room are all shared with the kitchen now that the dividing wall have been removed.
In addition, we decided to add surround sound to our attached living room and controlled lighting throughout the bottom floor since the controller could control the sound system and the lighting. We also opted for upgraded LED lighting in the kitchen with a dimmer switch.
This sent us on a learning curve that meant adjusting the lighting and speakers and needing a furniture plan way before we thought it would be necessary.
